High Impact Wrestling was one of the most well-known backyard feds from the late 1990s to early 2000's. If you ever watched one of The Best of Backyard Wrestling videos you would have seen many HIW clips and features. HIW was known for their brutal death-matches in that famous Tucson backyard. Cactus, bricks, glass, barbed-wire, fire, mouse traps, tacks... nothing was off limits for HIW!
HIW was so successful in the backyard they turned themselves into an independent wrestling company! Though the company appears to have stopped, a recent post from four months ago alluded to the idea that HIW will be returning!

Personally I think its hilarious how they bought the same domain name that High Impact Wrestling North Carolina used to use and own. There was quite a bitter rivalry and disagreement over who should use that federation name from what I remember!
People from all over the Backyard Wrestling community supported opposite sides during that heated moment. Some siding for HIW Arizona and some siding for HIW North Carolina. LMAO!
