Backyard wrestling exists everywhere around the world where professional wrestling is popular.
In Japan, from what we understand, backyard wrestling largely exists in "amateur" type companies known as "university" or "college" feds. We are unsure at this moment if the concept of backyard wrestling actually exists in Japan, as most of the footage appears to be semi-indy with rings and wrestlers who appear half trained.
