P.O.R to be featured on Vice TV...

Updated: Mar 2, 2023

For those of you living under a rock for the last few years, there exists a hardcore backyard wrestling federation called P.O.R Wrestling that has recently been taking over the Internet one insane stunt at a time.

Whether they are jumping off roofs through pyramids of flaming glass tables or using their vehicles as battering rams through old campers, the boys at P.O.R are constantly pushing the limits and redefining the word "hardcore" as it relates to backyard wrestling.

For P.O.R's last event in October at their annual "Hardcore Grand Prix" held in Timberville, Virginia the documentary crew of Vice Television was in attendance amongst the fans and supporting feds of War Zone Wrestling and Underground Wrestling Federation.

From what we have heard from our sources Vice TV was there to film a documentary segment that will be released soon! This is potentially a fantastic advertisement for backyard wrestling. Though many of you will not agree, it has always been the "hardcore" and violent aspects of backyard wrestling that drew attention to our underground world.

In the 1990s and early 2000's, the sensationalism given to backyard wrestling from the media and talk shows elevated backyard wrestling to unheard of levels. Millions of people viewed backyard wrestling websites and purchased backyard wrestling videos and video games. Professional wrestling today would not look the same, nor be as good as it is, if it wasn't for backyard wrestling. Nearly all of the top stars today were former backyard wrestlers themselves and many of the emerging "indie darlings" were yarders as well.

We hope that Vice TV releases an in-depth look at P.O.R's event and backyard wrestling in general. We are really hoping this isn't a slam piece like the majority of news programs in the past were. Looking at the wrestling programs released by Vice TV in the past, I am pretty confident the documentary segment will cast an accurate and fair account of the event.

Regardless, I can't wait to visit Timberville, Virginia next October and see the event in person! Long live backyard wrestling!
